2009-01-21 MRI Scan Results

Dr. Glantz called me today with the results. He said the difference is so minor that not all doctors agree, but he (the chief chemotherapy neuro-oncologist) and Dr. Fultz (the Chief nero-surgeon) both think it looks a little worse. He discussed a couple more treatments we might try, and one of them is a new treatment they are testing. We didn't decide on anything because we both prefer to make the decision in a physical meeting rather than over the phone. I'll be setting up an appointment sometime today when they call me back. In the meantime, we will keep praying and hoping for the best, and we'll keep moving forward. I'll post an update after we have the meeting with doctor Glantz, and hopefully, that will be this week.

Thanks for posting this

Thanks for posting this Brandon.... I'm so sorry to hear the frustrating news. It's just that one kind of resistant cell, too, the rest are neutralized already, right? What a hard decision you have to make, with such uncertain information, whether to wait and see who's right or try something new. I wonder if it would be a good idea to get a second opinion on this one? Please give Julie a big hug for me, and know you are loved and prayed for. If there is anything we can do to help the family, please let us know! Tell Julie I got some new pedicure supplies in the mail today, we'll have to set a girl date soon.
