Julie started radiation therapy and concurrent chemotherapy today. She will undergo 30 radiation therapy treatments, Monday through Friday, and 44 days of chemotherapy (which is a pill she takes, called Temodar, every day including weekends and holidays). She has up and down days. Some days she barely moves, and others she seems to make progress. The other day she walked with a cane with only a little assistance from a nurse.
